From the peaceful serenity of sailing into the sunset, to the thrill of a high-powered Zodiac raft ride up the Na Pali Coast, Kauai has innumerable opportunities for the ocean bound adventure traveler. Many boating companies alter the location of their operations in accordance with seasonal changes in wave conditions, and all offer spectacular ways to observe the majestic humpback whales that visit Kauai's waters between December and April and pods of the athletic spinner dolphins (so-called because of their barrel-role leaps from the water).
You can choose from sailing and snorkeling trips, Zodiac raft adventures and power catamaran cruises. For do-it-yourself boaters, you can rent 13-foot Boston Whalers and Livingstons along with a jeep and trailer. |
