| The
Polynesian Cultural Center |
The
Polynesian Cultural Center is perhaps the most
visited paid attraction in all of Hawaii.
Almost one million people visit the Center
annually, and over 27 million visitors have
arrived since its opening in 1963. Visitors
can explore the distinctive lifestyles of
seven Pacific islands – Tonga, Hawaii,
Samoa, Fiji, Tahiti, Marquesas and New Zealand
-- on 42 tropical acres. |
| Pearl
Harbor |
Pearl
Harbor is a natural deep water harbor and
longtime naval port. Located about 20 miles
west of downtown Honolulu, it still serves as
headquarters for the U.S. Pacific Fleet. The
USS Arizona Memorial there is a centerpiece in
a series of attractions highlighting and
commemorating the U.S. Navy in World War II. |
| Sea
Life Park |
Sea
Life Park prides itself on being an
interactive and educational park, far more
than any aquarium. The park offers a variety
of attractions that bring the visitor face to
face an eclectic collection of tropical marine
life. The Seawalker, for example, allows the
participant to walk along the bottom of the
park’s 300,000-gallon Hawaiian Reef Tank. |
